Neuroscientist J. Allan Hobson has hypothesized as to what might be occurring in the brain while lucid. The first step to lucid dreaming is recognizing that one is dreaming. This recognition might occur in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex which is one of the few areas deactivated during REM sleep, and where working memory occurs. Once this area is activated and the recognition of dreaming occurs the dreamer must be cautious to let the dream delusions continue, but be conscious enough to recognize them. This process might be seen as the balance between reason and emotion. While maintaining this balance the amygdala and parahippocampal cortex might be less intensely activated.[8] To continue the intensity of the dream hallucinations it is expected the pons and the parieto-occipital junction cortex stay active. To verify this hypothesis it would be necessary to observe the brain during lucid dreaming using a method such as a PET scan, which captures a snapshot of the blood flow to the brain. No such experiment has yet been performed.[9]
What is Lucid Dreaming?

Lucid Dreaming is dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming. This fascinating state of consciousness allows you to control your dreams and experience anything imaginable, from the sublime to the impossible.
Lucid Dreaming is not the same as dream control. It is possible to be lucid and have little control over dream content, and conversely, to have a great deal of control without being explicitly aware that you are dreaming. However, becoming lucid in a dream is likely to increase the extent to which you can deliberately influence the course of events. Once lucid, dreamers usually choose to do something permitted only by the extraordinary freedom of the dream state, such as flying.
This program is effective in creating wake induced lucid dreaming (WILD) and dream induced lucid dreaming (DILD).
WILD is induced by listening to the CD and following your own sense of consciousness as it entrains through the alpha frequency range to the theta frequency range. It allows you to just cross over the borderline between sleeping and waking. At this point images will appear from the subconscious. With practice these images will become interactive and controllable.
DILD is induced by waking from normal sleep earlier than you would normally. As you return to sleep play the CD with the intent that you will become aware in your next dream and that you will remember that dream. With practice your ability to lucid dream will become reliable and consistent.
How does our product work?
Accurately calibrated sine wave frequency generators were used to generate different frequencies in each ear. The sound is similar to the sound made by a Tibetan bowl (at much lower frequencies). In the background you will hear the sound of the sea.
